Jerry Hooker

Jerry contributes to The Group his talent and interest in urban design and living. He utilizes his curricular training and professional experience in urban design, landscape architecture, and architecture to notarize his contributions at The Mirador Group. Jerry’s professional experience includes a multitude of scopes and services in urban design and planning in New York at the World Financial Center, the World Trade Center, and the National 9/11 Memorial; in landscape architecture in a variety of scales among the states of New York, Louisiana, and Texas; and in architectural services in the Houston metropolitan area. He assists in and co-designs for a number of residential, commercial and community projects. Currently Jerry leads the urban design and landscape architecture practice, and is responsible for the recreation and design of Mirador’s website.

His passion for respectfully challenging the ubiquitous Houston townhome design insists intelligently planned and thoughtfully designed buildings and homes can be constructed to create a noticeably strong sense of place and ownership thus adding functionality, practicality, and value to those buildings, homes, neighborhoods and communities.

Prior to joining Mirador Group Jerry worked in New York City practicing urban design and landscape architecture. After his BLA design work he joined Clark Condon Associates practicing landscape architecture. Jerry has served on design juries at Columbia University and participated in design projects for non-profits such as the Bette Midler founded New York Restoration Project and the Department of Environmental Protection in New York City. Jerry received a bachelor in landscape architecture from Louisiana State University in 2008 and became LEED AP certified in 2009.
